{"id":3466,"date":"2013-04-08T10:13:27","date_gmt":"2013-04-08T15:13:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wildlifepreservation.ca\/?page_id=3466"},"modified":"2013-04-08T10:13:27","modified_gmt":"2013-04-08T15:13:27","slug":"oesac-award-to-wildlife-preservation-canada","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wildlifepreservation.ca\/fr\/oesac-award-to-wildlife-preservation-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"OESAC Award to Wildlife Preservation Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Wildlife Preservation Canada<\/strong><\/span> is pleased to announce being the recipient of a<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">2013 CONSERVATION GROUP AWARD<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">at this year\u2019s<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong> Ontario Endangered Species Act Conference.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The award recognizes the accomplishments of Wildlife Preservation Canada and its team over a relatively short period of time in several of its endangered species recovery programs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3469\" style=\"margin: 6px;\" alt=\"OESAC\" src=\"https:\/\/wildlifepreservation.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/OESAC1.jpg\" width=\"186\" height=\"94\" \/><em>\u201cYour group\u2019s work through the <a href=\"https:\/\/wildlifepreservation.ca\/species-in-need\/canadian-species\/species-9\/\">Eastern Loggerhead Shrike recovery program<\/a> since 2001 has helped to stabilize Ontario\u2019s shrike population, while completing important research. Wildlife Preservation Canada is known for taking a collaborative approach to achieving success. Your work with multiple partners in the study and conservation of <a href=\"https:\/\/wildlifepreservation.ca\/species-in-need\/canadian-species\/fresh-water-turtles\/\" target=\"_blank\">freshwater turtles<\/a> (e.g., Long Point and Rondeau) and the development of turtle nest protection programs as well as your commitment to a pollinator program that will focus on a variety of endangered pollinators are significant examples of the importance of your work.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Wildlife Preservation Canada thanks the Ontario Endangered Species Act Conference for this recognition. We also thank Couchiching Conservancy and the Carden Field Naturalists for the nomination. We vow to continue our efforts to save endangered animal species in Canada.
