Depuis, la taille de la population sauvage a fluctu\u00e9. Des \u00e9tudes ont montr\u00e9 que bien que l'effort de r\u00e9tablissement ait emp\u00each\u00e9 l'esp\u00e8ce de dispara\u00eetre du Canada, plus de travail est n\u00e9cessaire pour identifier et aborder les causes du d\u00e9clin de l'esp\u00e8ce. CFC travaille pour emp\u00eacher la pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice de l'Est de dispara\u00eetre en renfor\u00e7ant la population sauvage en Ontario, et en \u00e9tudiant l'esp\u00e8ce pour en apprendre davantage sur les menaces qu'elle fait face.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div  class='flex_column av-9n0y2e8-20d75deab7d77b541a21a027e908b21c av_one_full  avia-builder-el-7  el_after_av_one_full  el_before_av_one_full  first flex_column_div  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-mn7rinqz-cd2c227ad4174aec4ce7dd17b917b515'   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il y a beaucoup d'oiseaux dont le plumage blanc les aide \u00e0 se fondre dans leur environnement enneig\u00e9 : les harfangs des neiges, les cygnes siffleurs, les bruants des neiges\u2026 et les pie-gri\u00e8ches migratrices ?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>L'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, on nous a envoy\u00e9 une photo saisissante : une pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice compl\u00e8tement blanche<\/strong> sur fond d'armoise dans le comt\u00e9 de Sweetwater, au Wyoming (avec l'aimable autorisation de Taylor Higgins). Bien s\u00fbr, ce plumage n'aide pas la pie-gri\u00e8che \u00e0 se fondre dans le d\u00e9cor \u2014 en fait, elle se d\u00e9marque de fa\u00e7on assez dramatique \u2014 mais contrairement aux autres oiseaux qui habitent les paysages enneig\u00e9s auxquels leur plumage est parfaitement adapt\u00e9, la coloration de cette pie-gri\u00e8che vient d'un manque atypique de pigment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il y a <strong>deux causes possibles \u00e0 cela : l'albinisme et le leucisme.<\/strong> L'albinisme r\u00e9sulte d'une mutation g\u00e9n\u00e9tique qui emp\u00eache un animal de cr\u00e9er le pigment m\u00e9lanine. Chez les oiseaux, c'est le pigment qui produit les tons terreux : gris, noirs, bruns et couleurs chamois. Cela peut conduire \u00e0 des oiseaux qui pourraient avoir de la couleur, mais qui semblent d\u00e9lav\u00e9s ou p\u00e2lis. Vous pourriez \u00e9galement rencontrer des oiseaux partiellement leucistiques qui ont une coloration normale, mais avec des taches blanches ou d\u00e9lav\u00e9es dans leur plumage. \u00c0 l'oppos\u00e9, il y a aussi des oiseaux et des animaux m\u00e9lanistiques qui surproduisent de la m\u00e9lanine, ce qui les am\u00e8ne \u00e0 avoir une coloration plus fonc\u00e9e. (<strong>Fait amusant :<\/strong> saviez-vous que les \u00e9cureuils noirs ne sont que des \u00e9cureuils gris de l'Est m\u00e9lanistiques ?
