chute pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9e de la population sauvage de pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice de l'Est dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, Environnement Canada a invit\u00e9 Conservation de la faune au Canada \u00e0 se joindre \u00e0 l'effort de r\u00e9tablissement multi-partenaires en 2001. Depuis, la taille de la population sauvage a fluctu\u00e9. Des \u00e9tudes ont montr\u00e9 que bien que l'effort de r\u00e9tablissement ait emp\u00each\u00e9 l'esp\u00e8ce de dispara\u00eetre du Canada, plus de travail est n\u00e9cessaire pour identifier et aborder les causes du d\u00e9clin de l'esp\u00e8ce. CFC travaille pour emp\u00eacher la pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice de l'Est de dispara\u00eetre en renfor\u00e7ant la population sauvage en Ontario, et en \u00e9tudiant l'esp\u00e8ce pour en apprendre davantage sur les menaces qu'elle fait face.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div  class='flex_column av-bkv16mk-459e407db2d5fc5a37450246243131ba av_one_full  avia-builder-el-7  el_after_av_one_full  el_before_av_one_full  first flex_column_div  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-b4kncx8-f590cd656ad22458593b4c3a4be54825'   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Le d\u00e9but du printemps est l\u00e0 et avec lui revient l'un des oiseaux chanteurs migrateurs les plus embl\u00e9matiques de Conservation de la faune au Canada : la pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice de l'Est! Apr\u00e8s avoir pass\u00e9s plusieurs mois sur leurs terres d'hivernage du sud, ces oiseaux remarquables feront bient\u00f4t leur retour en Ontario, \u00e0 la recherche des rares paysages calcaire o\u00f9 ils se reproduisent.<\/p>\n<p>Pendant que les pies-gri\u00e8ches migratrices de l'Est sont en migration, notre \u00e9quipe des pies-gri\u00e8ches \u00e9merge d'un hiver de r\u00e9daction de rapports et d'entr\u00e9e de donn\u00e9es, et tourne notre attention vers le terrain. Avec des t\u00e9lescopes et des jumelles pr\u00eats, nous nous pr\u00e9parons pour une nouvelle saison de suivi des mouvements des pies-gri\u00e8ches, de surveillance du succ\u00e8s reproducteur, et de collecte des donn\u00e9es critiques n\u00e9cessaires pour soutenir cette sous-esp\u00e8ce menac\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque observation de pie-gri\u00e8che compte. Les observations de partout en Ontario (et au-del\u00e0!) fournissent des informations pr\u00e9cieuses sur les routes migratoires, l'utilisation de l'habitat, et les tendances des populations. Si vous apercevez (ou pensez apercevoir) une pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice de l'Est, l'\u00e9quipe aimerais beaucoup avoir de vos nouvelles. <strong>Les observations peuvent \u00eatre signal\u00e9es \u00e0 birds@wildlifepreservation.ca<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alors, comment pouvez-vous savoir si vous en avez trouv\u00e9 une?<\/strong> Et qu'est-ce que l'\u00e9quipe des pies-gri\u00e8ches cherche exactement quand elle fait le suivi de cet oiseau chanteur insaisissable?<\/p>\n<p>Losque les pies-gri\u00e8ches se d\u00e9placent dans le sud de l'Ontario, en route vers l'habitat tr\u00e8s particulier de prairie calcaire qu'elles n\u00e9cessitent pour la saison de reproduction, elles ne sont pas trop difficiles sur l'endroit o\u00f9 elles vont s'arr\u00eater. Il y a eu des observations de pies-gri\u00e8ches se d\u00e9pla\u00e7ant \u00e0 travers les endroits les plus improbables, comme les parcs urbains dens\u00e9ment peupl\u00e9s de la r\u00e9gion du Grand Toronto! Tant qu'il y a un champ de taille moyenne avec des herbes courtes et des perchoirs de chasse \u00e0 proximit\u00e9, il y a une chance qu'une pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice migrante puisse \u00eatre observ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Imaginez un sc\u00e9nario o\u00f9 les caract\u00e9ristiques cl\u00e9s du paysage d\u00e9crites ci-dessus sont pr\u00e9sentes dans l'habitat surveill\u00e9. Les pies-gri\u00e8ches s'assoient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement dans une position plus horizontale que les autres oiseaux percheurs de taille similaire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motif de coloration :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les pies-gri\u00e8ches migratrices ont un masque noir \u00e9pais sur les yeux et un dos gris ardoise. En vol, du blanc peut \u00eatre vu sur les parties ext\u00e9rieures de leurs plumes de queue autrement noires, et il y a une partie blanche caract\u00e9ristique dans leurs plumes de vol autrement noires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motif de vol :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lorsqu'elles se d\u00e9placent entre les perchoirs, les pies-gri\u00e8ches descendent et volent bas au-dessus du sol dans un type de vol ondulant, puis en s'approchant d'un perchoir, elles vont caract\u00e9ristiquement faire un vol de courbe vers le haut juste avant d'atterrir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comportement :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice est un pr\u00e9dateur \u00e0 l'aff\u00fbt. Elle passe une grande partie de la journ\u00e9e assise sur des perchoirs bien visibles d'o\u00f9 elle peut scanner l'habitat environnant pour trouver des proies ou des pr\u00e9dateurs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Son<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Une fois que les pies-gri\u00e8ches migratrices ont trouv\u00e9 un partenaire et ont \u00e9tabli des territoires de reproduction pendant les mois plus tard du printemps et de l'\u00e9t\u00e9, les chants sont maintenus au minimum. Mais en trouvant leur chemin vers leurs terres de reproduction et avant de trouver un partenaire, les pies-gri\u00e8ches peuvent certainement \u00eatre entendues chanter \u00e0 pleine voix. La pie-gri\u00e8che bor\u00e9ale se reproduit au nord du Canada et hiverne plus au sud. Elles sont difficiles \u00e0 distinguer des pies-gri\u00e8ches migratrices mais il y a quelques diff\u00e9rences fiables : le masque noir de la pie-gri\u00e8che bor\u00e9ale ne s'\u00e9tend pas sur le dessus du bec, et elles ont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un bec plus long et la poitrine plus brun clair (bien que cela puisse varier).
