Ici, \u00e0 Conservation de la faune au Canada, nous travaillons \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir la disparition des esp\u00e8ces de bourdons en p\u00e9ril en les surveillant \u00e0 l'\u00e9tat sauvage, en les \u00e9levant pour les rel\u00e2cher dans notre laboratoire de conservation en Ontario, et en \u00e9tudiant leurs excr\u00e9ments pour y trouver des parasites ! Nous organisons m\u00eame des \u00e9v\u00e9nements sp\u00e9ciaux de science citoyenne \u00e0 travers la province pour suivre la taille des populations, localiser les populations en d\u00e9clin et offrir des programmes de formation pratiques dans le but d'\u00e9largir nos efforts \u00e0 travers le Canada. Nous sommes la seule organisation au pays \u00e0 travailler \u00e0 r\u00e9tablir les populations de bourdons en p\u00e9ril gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'\u00e9levage de conservation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div  class='flex_column av-119vvqk-6e5f62417723856694fc01ca5e33d943 av_one_full  avia-builder-el-7  el_after_av_one_full  el_before_av_one_full  first flex_column_div  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-mnhm97zm-061b08e55dfd1bc71003bfdca1737849'   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Qu'est-ce qui fait qu'un bourdon est un bourdon ?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour la plupart d'entre nous, l'image vient facilement : un corps massif, une fourrure douce, des ailes d\u00e9licates et des rayures audacieuses noires et jaunes. Peut-\u00eatre que vous pensez \u00e0 leur bourdonnement bas et r\u00e9gulier alors qu'ils d\u00e9rivent de fleur en fleur, remplissant leur r\u00f4le essentiel de pollinisateurs. Les bourdons sont reconnaissables et familiers, m\u00eame pour les jeunes enfants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mais la nature est rarement aussi simple. <strong>Sur le terrain, m\u00eame pour ceux d'entre nous qui passent des ann\u00e9es \u00e0 \u00e9tudier les bourdons, les choses peuvent devenir\u2026 confuses. Parce que tout ce qui ressemble \u00e0 une abeille <\/strong><\/span><strong><i>l'habitat ne <\/i>pas n\u00e9cessairement une.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De nombreuses esp\u00e8ces ont \u00e9volu\u00e9 pour ressembler aux bourdons gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une strat\u00e9gie connue sous le nom de <\/span><b>mim\u00e9tisme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, o\u00f9 une esp\u00e8ce inoffensive imite une esp\u00e8ce que les pr\u00e9dateurs savent \u00e9viter, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement parce qu'elle pique, mord ou est venimeuse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Il existe quelques exemples classiques de mim\u00e9tisme dans le monde des insectes. Certaines chenilles ressemblent \u00e9tonnamment \u00e0 des serpents, tandis que les phasmes ressemblent \u00e0 des brindilles, tous deux pour \u00e9viter d'\u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9s par les pr\u00e9dateurs. Les bourdons, avec leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 piquer et leurs couleurs d'avertissement audacieuses, servent \u00e9galement d'excellents mod\u00e8les. Parce que les pr\u00e9dateurs ne s'arr\u00eatent pas pour v\u00e9rifier deux fois, tout ce qui ressemble \u00e0 du noir et jaune et poilu re\u00e7oit une protection d'emprunt.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mais voil\u00e0 o\u00f9 cela devient humiliant (surtout si vous \u00eates un biologiste des bourdons !) : le mim\u00e9tisme fonctionne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00eame apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es pass\u00e9es \u00e0 chercher et \u00e0 identifier les bourdons, il y a des moments sur le terrain o\u00f9 j'aper\u00e7ois quelque chose qui <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> doit absolument \u00eatre un bourdon, seulement pour regarder de plus pr\u00e8s et r\u00e9aliser que <strong>j'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 tromp\u00e9e<\/strong>. Mais ils sont poilus et ronds (sans doute les deux traits les plus mignons des bourdons), alors je vous rendrais un mauvais service en ne mettant pas de photo d\u2019un d\u2019entre eux.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le mim\u00e9tisme dans la nature est remarquable. Pour les imitateurs, cela peut faire la diff\u00e9rence entre la vie et la mort. Et pour nous ?
