Gimli Wildflowers
ABOUT THE SITE

About the site:
The Rural Municipality of Gimli is dedicated to keeping native prairie plants and insects alive despite the changing soil and habitat conditions from eutrophication of Lake Winnipeg. The 0.4 ha site is located half a kilometre upstream from Lake Winnipeg at the Gimli Recreation Centre. The community will work together to establish the wildflower plants and build a demonstration site to encourage the next generation of land stewards.
