Imelda Bourque Property & Community Garden / Terrain de Imelda Bourque et Jardin Communautaire
ABOUT THE SITE
Location: Cocagne, New Brunswick
Seed Provider: Wildflower Farm
About the site:
The 0.5 ha wildflower site is a low-lying agricultural area adjacent to a river / tidal inlet, salt marsh, young forest, soybean fields and community garden. Seasonal flooding makes farming in this area difficult. The landowner and the Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group hope to establish a wildflower meadow that will attract pollinators to benefit all adjacent habitats including the community garden.
Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group / Groupe de développement durable du Pays de Cocagne
The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group’s (PCSDG) mission is to engage citizen participation towards the sustainability of Cocagne watershed communities.
