New collaboration: wildlife art benefits WPC

WPC is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with wildlife artist Sarah McComb-Turbitt!
Starting January 1st, 2024, Sarah will have 31 days to paint as many of our Canadian endangered species as she can. This challenge will raise funds for WPC, as 15% of all original painting sales will be donated to WPC, as well as 50% of all profits from limited edition prints (coming this February 2024).
NEW Gallery event
After a month long collaboration, Sarah has successfully complete 15 stunning paintings depicting endangered Canadian wildlife species. We are excited to announce that all paintings will be on display! The highly anticipated exhibition, curated by Sarah, will be held at the Grey Gallery in Own Sound, ON from March 6th to March 30th.
Join us for the opening event on March 9th, featuring formal remarks from our Executive Director, Dr. Lance Woolaver Jr., live painting by Sarah herself, light refreshments and exciting door prizes. Don’t miss this amazing celebration of art and conservation.
Fundraiser updates
Sarah has finished her January challenge and has 15 paintings completed! All paintings are $1,150 CAD and will be up on Sarah’s website the first week of February. In the meantime, if you would like to inquire about purchasing a piece before the collection is displayed online or at the gallery, please reach out to Sarah through email at sarah@smccombturbitt.com
Who is Sarah McComb-Turbitt?
Sarah est une biologiste marine devenue artiste avec son studio à Owen Sound, en Ontario. Elle est une membre signature de Artists for Conservation avec une vision unie de préserver et maintenir notre patrimoine naturel. Dans son travail, Sarah capture les comportements uniques des animaux et nous donne une fenêtre sur les moments sentimentaux de leur vie. De plus, elle a soutenu la conservation avec chaque œuvre créée depuis sa transition vers la peinture à temps plein en 2020.

This exciting January fundraiser challenges Sarah to spend 31 days painting as many of our Canadian endangered species as she can and will bring awareness to the amazing species we work with here at WPC.
What makes this challenge even more special? Every day, Sarah and WPC will present our followers with two possible paintings that Sarah will endeavour to paint, and YOUR vote will decide which one Sarah will bring to life!

These stunning paintings will then be up for grabs with 15% of all sales going directly to WPC’s important hands-on work.
