Work With Us
Thank you for your interest in working at Wildlife Preservation Canada!
Our mission is to save animal species at risk of extinction in Canada by providing direct, hands-on care. If you are interested in making a positive impact, return to this page regularly as positions will be posted as we staff up for the busy field season.
The work of saving animal species requires the contributions and leadership of people of widely diverse backgrounds, experiences and identities. We are committed to selecting and developing employees to create a diverse, inclusive and equitable organisation.
Please visit the page often as we continue to staff up for our busy field season.
Conservation Research Assistant
Wildlife Preservation Canada (WPC) is seeking a summer researcher to carry out background research on endangered species with our Conservation Planning team. WPC hosts the Regional Resource Center in Canada for the Conservation Planning Specialist Group (CPSG), part of the Species Survival Commission of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The Conservation Research Assistant will support the Conservation Planning coordinator to gather information on endangered species from scientific papers, grey literature, and online sources and prepare materials and presentations for workshops focused on species conservation planning.
