What is a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a simple, flexible, and tax-efficient way to support causes you care about, including Wildlife Preservation Canada.
A DAF is a charitable giving account established at a public foundation, known as a DAF provider. When you contribute cash, securities, or other eligible assets to a DAF, you receive an immediate charitable tax receipt from your DAF provider. You can then recommend grants from your fund to registered charities whenever you’re ready.
Many Canadians use DAFs to simplify their charitable giving and support their favourite charities.
How to make a gift through your DAF
1) Log in to your DAF account
Access your Donor-Advised Fund through your DAF provider’s online portal or contact them for assistance.
2) Recommend a grant to Wildlife Preservation Canada
Search for Wildlife Preservation Canada in your DAF portal and recommend a grant. You may choose to make an unrestricted gift or direct your support to a specific project or program.
3) Provide Wildlife Preservation Canada’s legal details
Your DAF provider may need the following information to process your grant:

At Wildlife Preservation Canada, we work with foundations with Donor-Advised Funds, which hold and administer donor funds and facilitate grants to Canadian registered charities.
