Doug is the founder and owner of Watershed Technologies Inc (1977), a successful engineering and research company dedicated to energy and water conservation in the built environment.

In addition, Doug is a past board member of the Algonquin Wildlands League, a chapter of The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS), and is a current board member of the KM Hunter Foundation, responsible for the environmental portfolio.

Doug has a Masters of Science degree in molecular genetics, and an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics. Doug is the Committee Chair of the Conservation Committee and brings to WPC over 40 years of business management, as well as a deep science background.

He is passionate about the need to preserve species and habitat in our changing world.
